"Weird Al" Yankovic

The Americans aren't that famous for clever comedians. Seinfeld is not funny, and yet is one of the most popular TV series. Friends used to be the same joke over and over again. Kelsey Grammar and Bob Newhart are rare exceptions to the rule however. One person that is very clever when it comes to comedy is "Weird Al" Yankovic. I was first introduced to him when I was a teenager, and he'd done a brilliant parody of Michael Jackson's Bad, called Fat. The story behind the parody was that Michael Jackson was so impressed with his remake of Beat It, called Eat It, that when he made the video for Bad, he contacted Al and asked him if he was interested in using the set. How could he refuse?

Well, time has marched on since that 80s classic. He's had his own TV series for a few years now, and has done wonderful parodies covering everything from James Blunt's "You're Beautiful" (you're pitiful), to the Beach Boys (trigger happy), to the Backstreet Boys and "I want it that way."

Enjoy.
