I was watching 'the Shadow' last night, and the main character's name was Cranston. This in turn led me to start thinking of Branston Pickle, and I thought to myself what else would be a good name of a character in a story that you'd find around the average home.

• Haywards Pickled-Onions, posh English aristocrat
• Curly Fries, the northern scallywag
• Red Salmon, American oil rigger
• Philadelphia light, 6 year old madam from Essex
• Pilau Rice, long lost sister of Anneka Rice
