I've started posting some of my recipes for others to enjoy on facebook, and so I've taken the opportunity to post my Worcester mince recipe.
2 Lbs of beef mince
2 large onions, finely chopped.
2 cloves of garlic
6 tblspoons of worcester sauce
4 oz mild cheese
salt and pepper to taste
4 oz butter
1 medium sized french stick/baguette.
Brown the mince in a large saucepan, adding the onion and one crushed clove of garlic when the mince is done. When the onion appears translucent, add the worcester sauce and simmer on a medium heat for 15 minutes until the worcester sauce has boiled away. Season to tasted and serve into a large pasta bowl. Add grated cheese to taste to reduce the heat of the worcester sauce, and place under a grill for a minute.
Take the butter, and second crushed clove of garlic and heat in a saucepan or microwave until the butter has completely melted. Toast slices of the bread until golden brown then brush liberally with the garlic butter. Serve with the mince.
