I have a gripe. Not like me I know, but I have to do this to prove a point.

This is a router. Pronounced 'rooter.' It routes network information from A to B, via switches inside. It is very common in today's homes, and more and more people have one. This one is made by Belkin, one of the world's biggest router makers, and isn't very good at cutting channels into a plank of wood.

This is a router, pronounced 'rowter.' It gouges a channel into wood, meaning that the wood can be shaped for a dovetail joint for example. It isn't very common in today's homes, and those that do own one will probably keep it in a shed or garage. This one is made by Black and Decker, one of the world's biggest router makers, and you can be damn sure your wireless laptop won't pick it up.
